The Belgrade Human Rights Centre coordinated the founding of the Platform of Organizations for Monitoring the Recommendations of UN Human Rights Bodies (hereinafter: Platform). The Platform was founded by civil society organizations with significant experience based on reporting before UN human rights mechanisms and monitoring recommendations, recognizing the need and importance of continuous evidence-based reporting processes, monitoring the implementation of recommendations issued by the mechanisms to the Republic of Serbia, and interaction with Government bodies for monitoring the implementation of UN recommendations for human rights. Platform activities are guided by the recognition of common interest among organizations for systematic engagement through interaction with UN human rights mechanisms.
The platform was founded and is comprised of the following organizations: Astra; Atina; A11 – Initiative for Economic and Social Rights; Belgrade Human Rights Centre; Centre for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities of Serbia; Centre for the Rights of the Child; FemPlatz, Group 484; Initiative for the Rights of Persons with Mental Disabilities MDRI-S; Committee of Human Rights Lawyers YUCOM; International Assistance Network IAN; Network of Organizations for Children MODS; National Organization of Persons with Disabilities; SOS Vojvodina Network and Standing Conference of Roma Citizens’ Associations.
