Tim za socijalno uključivanje i smanjenje siromaštva

The Group for Social inclusion of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development in cooperation with UNICEF Serbia and with the support of the Centre for Interactive Pedagogy organised a conference entitled “Preschool Upbringing and Education Fit for Every Child” on December 8, 2015, in Belgrade.

The objective of the conference was to: improve preschool employees’ competencies with regard to the implementation of inclusive/quality preschool upbringing and education in Serbia; support the activities designed for improving the inclusion of children with preparatory preschool programmes and elementary education; enhance cooperation among different stakeholders both at the preschool and local government level; provide quality support to children in transitional periods and to develop strong collaborative relationship with parents.

The conference organisers sent a clear message about the importance of learning during early childhood. With this, the Republic of Serbia is joining a new European trend where providing quality education during early childhood occupies the central place in the European Strategy for Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth (EUROPE 2020).
