The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and UNICEF in Serbia issued a public call to engage an associate at the Unit for the Coordination of Inclusive Education, to be established within the Ministry. The goal of the Unit is the continued improvement of early development and inclusive approach at all education levels in the Republic of Serbia and support to strengthening inclusive policies in the field of education in early childhood and early development.
Early childhood education and early development, as well as inclusive education, have been set as education policy priorities and included in the legal regulations adopted during the 2009-2013 period. Their implementation is of key importance for achieving child and human rights, social inclusion and the development of human capital.
The establishment of the Unit for the Coordination of Inclusive Education is the result of a partner project developed during 2012 by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Red Cross, the UNICEF office for Serbia and other partners in the educational sector, with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
