What is the status of young people in Serbia? What challenges concern them most and what attitudes do they share regarding issues of social importance for an entire generation in various fields, such as: education, employment, internship, security, health, mobility, culture, information, activism, etc.?
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has been implementing regular annual surveys since 2008, aiming to discover the answers to these questions and integrate them in decision-making processes regarding issues of interest for young people.
This year’s survey was implemented during November 2016, comprised of two parts. The first part provides answers to basic questions on the status of young people in their local communities, regarding all the fields in the National Youth Strategy. The second part, specifically defined regarding the priorities of the youth sector for this year, is focused on the stricter field of information and active participation of youth as the basic mechanisms for youth inclusion in decision-making processes related to them. A large number of questions from 2014/2015 has been repeated, therefore the ability to monitor trends regarding the status and needs of youth represents added value for this year’s survey.
