At an event held on 25 May the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin presented 37 licenses for social protection services to service providers from the private and public sector, emphasizing that all services in the community will continue to exist, regardless of whether the municipalities are rich or poor.
“Although we are the Ministry with the best savings track record, managing to find a way to save the largest amount of taxpayer money, we have managed to secure 400 million dinars for services in the community. This means that all the services in the community you had to date, regardless of how poor your municipality may be, will continue to exist”, said Vulin.
Vulin noted that the Ministry of Labour has issued 145 licenses for various activities in social protection, and that the licensing process will be completed by year’s end, both for services, as well as institutional accommodation services. The most frequent services the providers were licensed for are regarding institutional accommodation, help in the home for adults, daycare for the elderly, assisted living, personal assistants for children, and personal assistants for adults.
