On 2 July 2018, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Rulebook on Determining the Required Number of Education Inspectors in municipal and city administration, which at the same time contains an overview of the required number of education inspectors in local self-government units in different administrative districts.

The Rulebook will come into force on 14 July 2018. After the Rulebook has come into force, municipal and city administrations will have 90 days to harmonise the number of education inspectors with the number envisaged by the Rulebook.
