The “Labris” organization for lesbian human rights is organizing the training “Same-Sex Orientation in Teaching and Counselling”. The training is primarily intended for teachers and professional associates employed in secondary schools.

The training will be held on 21 and 22 March 2015, and will involve the following issues:

• LGBTTIQ terminology,
• Human rights of lesbians and gay persons,
• Social mechanisms of homophobia,
• Coming out,
• Trans-existence.

The participants will have the opportunity to work with experts Biljana Popović and Dragana Ilić, Psychological Spaces, to further expand their knowledge and skills. They will discuss personal attitudes regarding same-sex orientation, prejudices and stereotypes, and simulate specific situations in working with persons of an alternative sexual orientation.

The training is supported by the embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands.

The call is open until 17 March 2015.
