The Seminar on Best Practices in Roma Employment, organised by the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit and OSCE, was held on 12 February 2014.
One of the main objectives of the Seminar was to promote the current practices focusing on strengthening human capital and local development supporting Roma inclusion.
The Office for Roma Inclusion, YUROM Centre, RIC, HELP and CARE talked about how best to use the existing human capital and how to put the economic development resources to use in employment of Roma. The beneficiaries of the employment programme were introduced as well.
The Seminar was attended by the representatives of the Council for Improvement of the Position of Roma and implementation of the Decade for Roma Inclusion, the Office for Human and Minority Rights, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy, EU Delegation, civil society organisations and the representative of the civil sector of Chezch Republic and the academic community of Spain who presented the best practices in the area of employment of Roma in Europe.
