Both national representatives that the Ministry of Economy proposed to the European Commission for the “Best Idea in the Field of Entrepreneurship Promotion for 2016”, the non-profit organisation SEE ICT with the “We Know We Can” project, and the initiative of the City of Novi Sad with “Lime Trees and Honey Bees for Sustainable Development of the Danube Microregion” were shortlisted for this prestigious award. Out of 33 countries, the Republic of Serbia is the only country with two representatives on the shortlist for two categories.
The national representatives who will represent our country at the final event in November in Bratislava were selected according to the criteria set by the European Commission. For the winners, this European recognition means visibility and promotion throughout Europe, and it serves as an inspiration for others who want to start their own business.
European Enterprise Promotion Awards –EEPA is the initiative of the European Commission designed to identify and recognise outstanding examples of the support and promotion of entrepreneurship throughout Europe. This year, 31 countries nominated 57 projects for the EEPA, out of which 18 were shortlisted.
