City Manager Goran Vesić stated that during the past 20 months the City of Belgrade provided 41 rural households, renovated 11 prefabricated houses and is building 68 apartments for socially vulnerable citizens.
As stated by the City Administration, Vesić presided over a meeting in the City Assembly of the Coordination Body for Monitoring the Implementation of the Action Plan for Moving the Residents of the newly-formed settlements of Makiš 1 and 2, Resnik, Jabučki rit and Kijevo.
He added that everything was done in accordance with European standards, as an example of how work should be done in the future. As stated, experiences of EU member states teach us that the precondition for the total integration of those families in the community is providing for their employment.
