A sports and recreation outdoor space for youth with disabilities was opened as part of the already existing area created for sports and recreation on the City Beach in Užice. The area is equipped with five new customized fitness machines, and the terrain around has been reconstructed in order to provide accessibility, better functionality, and safety.
The opening was attended by the Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Snežana Klašnja, the Mayor of Užice, and the representatives of nine associations of persons with disabilities from Užice.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports financed the project of constructing the sports and recreational outdoor space for young people with disabilities called “Inclusive Park” within the Open Call for the Support to Local Self-government Units for the Implementation of the Youth Policy on the Local Level during 2016. The project was co-financed by the City of Užice funds.
