Start-up competition “Ring Serbia” that helps young entrepreneurs with raising funds for the realization of their ideas, was organized for the second time in our country with the message that the Government of the Republic of Serbia named 2016 the Year of Entrepreneurship.
While opening the conference, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sport, Snežana Klašnja reminded everyone that employment and entrepreneurship were defined as the central issues of the Serbian youth, this was done through constant dialog with the youth representatives and by researching their position and needs. “Just during last year, through projects that were financed by the Ministry for the realization of the strategy objectives, 3200 young people were trained in the field of employment and youth entrepreneurship, 222 completed professional and working practice programmes, 57 student companies were developed, and almost 400 young people were employed”, highlighted Klašnja.
The “Ring Serbia” is organised for the second time by the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Serbia as part of a global project for raising financial funds for start-ups called “Get in the Ring” (GITR). In the boxing ring, start-ups will compete in various categories of business. The winner from Serbia will participate in the regional competition in Sofia, from there the most successful participant will have the opportunity to compete in South America for the grand prize of €1.000.000.
