The European PROGRES programme issued a public call for awarding grants to youth from 34 municipalities in the southeast and southwest of Serbia for starting businesses. This activity, aimed at stimulating youth entrepreneurship, will be supported by the European Union and Government of Switzerland with EUR 180,000.
The programme will support up to 20 start-up companies in the field of manufacture, information technologies and food industry, and/or food processing with a maximum of EUR 10,000, and a minimum of EUR 2,500 per project. The European PROGRES will not award financial grants, instead procuring machinery, equipment and other durable goods (including software) necessary for starting business, up to the awarded amount.
The competition is open until 11 May 2016, and more information on the call, along with detailed documentation for applications is available at www.europeanprogres.org
