The Roma Information Centre from Kragujevac is implementing the project “Support for the Roma Community in Using Social Protection System Services”, financed by the Office for Human and Minority Rights.
The overall goal of the project is to provide support for the Roma community for inclusion in the social protection system and the use of protection measures.
The objectives of the project are: increasing the capacities of Roma leaders from 4 towns for advocacy in CSW; as well as informing the broader community on their rights in the field of social protection.
The programme encompasses the implementation of a number of activities: training for strengthening the capacities of Roma leaders in the community; roundtables for drawing the attention of public institutions to the implementation of Laws; inclusion and provision of information for the Roma community on how to get involved in social work centre programmes and measures; campaigns in Roma settlements; media monitoring of all events during the project; information through the website and social networks.
