The Government of the Republic of Serbia, in cooperation with the European Commission, is organizing a Technical Meeting on the Social Inclusion of Roma in the Republic of Serbia, to be held on 23 June 2021 at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade.
The technical meeting is an opportunity to summarise the results achieved and consider the priorities for the future period in the field of social inclusion of one of the most vulnerable categories of the population in the Republic of Serbia.
Participants of the Technical Meeting on the Social Inclusion of Roma in the Republic of Serbia will include representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, the Government, the National Council of the Roma National Minority, civil society organisations and international organisations, as well as donors. Through an exchange on key achievements and challenges in the most important thematic areas, we will assess the progress made and define the next steps in the process of social inclusion of Roma in the Republic of Serbia.
Due to the epidemiological situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of participants at the Palace of Serbia will be reduced to an optimum measure to ensure compliance with preventive measures, while the presence of a broader circle of participants will be made possible through an online platform.
