Students of primary and secondary schools in the municipalities of Bosilegrad and Dimitrovgrad attending education in the Bulgarian language have received, for the first time after 29 years, adequate textbooks in their mother tongue, through the efforts of the National Council of Bulgarians and competent institutions in Serbia, stated Vladimir Zaharijev, president of the National Council of Bulgarians in Serbia, on 3 October.
Speaking to the Beta Agency, Zaharijev stated that all textbooks from the first to the fifth grade of primary school, and textbooks for the first grade of secondary school, other than for Arts and Music, have been translated into the Bulgarian language.
