Since Serbia has become a candidate for EU membership, organisations and individuals based in Serbia have become eligible to participate in the competition for an e-Inclusion Award.
The e-Inclusion Awards were established by the European Commission in 2008, in order to raise the awareness and celebrate examples of good practice in using ICT, with a view to achieving social and digital inclusion.
The awards are given to individuals and organisations from the public, business and civil society sectors in two categories.
The “I am Part of IT” award is intended for individuals who have been empowered by becoming e-included, whereas the “Be Part of IT – Digital Inclusion Champions” award is given to those who champion e-inclusion by undertaking and supporting relevant projects.
Deadline for submission of entries is 4 May. Twelve finalists in each category will be invited to present their projects at the conference in Brussels on 21-22 June, where the winners will be announced.
