The Guide to Chapter 19 (social policy and employment) was created for the purpose of providing individuals and organisations dealing with children’s rights with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the EU legislation and policies which are important for children’s rights and are included in this Chapter.

Chapter 19 is very significant for the protection of children’s rights and welfare, considering that the acquis contained in it, regulates issues such as the fight against poverty, protecting the rights of young people and parents from the labour law perspective, promotion of social inclusion, improving the status of persons with disabilities, etc.

The Guide is designed for representatives of the civil sector, public administration institutions, experts, and other stakeholders who want to learn more about how the process of EU accession negotiations influences the status of children.
