On 13 June, on the occasion of the presentation of the Seventh Report on the Implementation of the Action Plan for the Realisation of the Rights of National Minorities, Director of the Office for Human and Minority Rights, Suzana Paunović, pointed out that the Report referred to the first quarter of 2018, and that the implementation of activities from the Action Plan for Minorities was being regularly monitored.
Paunović stated that implementation had started for 111 activities envisaged by the Action Plan for the Realization of the Rights of National Minorities, and that out of the 75 stakeholders, 63 of them had submitted inputs.
Paunović highlighted that 45 local self-government units submitted their inputs for the seventh report and that the Government was paying great attention to the cooperation with the local self-government units in which members of minority communities live.
Furthermore, Paunović added that gathering inputs for the eighth cycle of reporting was underway and that in the coming period the Office would focus on further developing the system for monitoring of the Action Plan. She also highlighted that, in order to improve performance and cooperation, they would continue supporting everyone participating in the process of reporting.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of state and provincial bodies and institutions, international and civil society organisations, as well as representatives from national councils of national minorities.
