The programme of support to Roma employment was developed within the framework of the project ”We Are Here Together – European Support to Roma Inclusion“ is funded by the European Union and implemented by the OSCE mission to Serbia. The programme is implemented in partnership with the Development Initiative Group – SeCons and aims to assist businesses/initiatives that are able to ensure sustainable employment of Roma. Assistance in equipment, technical support and training and professional training is planned for these companies and initiatives.
Following mapping of the existing successful economic employment initiatives, enterpreneurs and self-employed Roma in early 2014, trainings were organised in Kragujevac, Belgrade and Mt. Fruška Gora in June for 48 initiatives and enterprises to enhance the knowledge of participants about all the elementes and development of business plans.
The final selection and signing of contracts with the programme beneficiaries is to take place starting September 2014.
