Thirty young women from the cities of Novi Pazar and Vranje and the municipalities of Sjenica,Tutin, Raška, Bujanovac and Preševo started training on 24 June as part of the project “Employment of Young Women in the IT Sector”.
The programme will help them acquire skills to find employment or start their own business, become active in the community and contribute to its development. The programme is being implemented in parallel in Novi Pazar and Bujanovac.
As part of the project “Employment of Young Women in the IT Sector”, IT experts from the “Tailor’s School” from Belgrade will provide participants with intensive training in creating and maintaining websites during the coming twenty days, the duration of the first phase of the programme.
The participants are unanimous in their assessment that by adapting their knowledge to the labour market they will create opportunities for new jobs and/or starting their own business in the promising IT environment.
At the end of the Programme, the participants will receive certificates they will be able to use when looking for work, as well as to witness of their capacities to improve the local community.
The project “Employment of Young Women in the IT Sector” is being implemented by the Association of Citizens for Democracy and Civic Education “Civic Initiatives”, financed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia.
