This year, the EEPA, European Enterprise Promotion Awards, received 303 applications in the category “support to the inclusive and responsible entrepreneurship” from all European countries. Among the 56 projects that reached the final stage of the competition, are Razlivalište and the project Social Impact Award, as well as Centre for Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship with the project Rural Hub. The jury chose these two organizations in accordance with the criteria prescribed by the European Commission, with the aim of promoting, recognizing and supporting the development of entrepreneurship throughout Europe.
Social Impact Award is working on creating a community of young people who transform intention into action. They support them in the development of social enterprises dealing with the most challenging issues of our time. They do this by organizing various events and workshops in order to raise awareness on social entrepreneurship, by teaching necessary skills for transforming general intentions into promising entrepreneurial ventures, as well as by providing access to different peer and professional networks and promoting the best teams with the Social Impact Award.
Rural HUB is a co-working space where innovative, socially responsible individuals and organization can work, meet, learn and network – a place of creation, development and support. Apart from creating space and time for work through co-working, and development of individual and team ideas, the Rural Hub is working on improving its own community by using and developing local products and services (food, accommodation, artistry, etc.), as well as by connecting locals with the aim of promoting small family businesses and discouraging migration from rural areas, especially migration of young people.
The winners of this European competition will be announced in November of this year in Graz.
