Two enterprises founded by students from the Novi Pazar Technical School – Ne uzimajte osmeh deci (Do Not Take Children’s Smiles Away) and Ovo za ono (This for That) – generated a profit in excess of RSD 800,000 in two months, by selling products they manufactured and marketed by themselves.
One enterprise produced metal chairs, which were sold to other schools, whereas the other made sand play structures.
Both enterprises were founded as part of the Junior Achievement Serbia programme and, since school enterprises in Serbia do not operate as fully fledged companies, the profit remained in the school, instead of going to the students’ pockets.
