The Virtus corporate philanthropy awards were presented for the sixth time, where the Main Award for Contribution at the National Level in 2012 was presented to B92 Broadcasting Company. Six more award winners were announced at the official ceremony organised at the House of the National Assembly.
The Award for contribution to the local community was presented to the company LaFarge BFC Srbija. The Award for small and medium-sized enterprises was given to the company Božić i sinovi d.o.o. The Award for long-term partnership between the business and civil sectors was presented to Societe Generale Banka Srbija, which also won the Award for volunteering. Banca Intesa won the Award for support for the most innovative project, Forma Ideale received the Award for contribution to social inclusion, while the Special Award for media contribution was presented to eKapija.
As of this year, a new category of award has been introduced, which is presented to a company that has contributed significantly to social inclusion.
The Virtus competition is organised by the Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF), with the financial support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and in partnership with the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) and the Government of Serbia Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit (SIPRU).
