The project XBIT — Cross-border IT network for competitiveness, innovation and entrepreneurship is being implemented in Croatia and Serbia with a view to developing two digital communities, through establishment of two brand new centres on both sides of the border – in Indjija, Serbia and Donji Miholjac, Croatia.
Each centre will specialise in two of the currently most appealing branches of IT industry: virtual reality and development and application of IoT solutions. Each of the newly established local digital communities will cover the entire programme area and bring together all interested users and parties, offering them an opportunity to cooperate, learn, network and exchange know-how and experience.
The project is funded through Interreg IPA Serbia-Croatia CBC programme 2014-2020. In Serbia, the majority of activities within the programme take place at Startit Centre in Indjija.
The project is implemented by a consortium consisting of the leading partner SEE ICT, business incubator OSVIT from Donji Miholjac, the City of Donji Miholjac, the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad and the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia.
