The call for the submission of films for the 15th International Film Festival “Grab This Day with Me/Grab a Film” is open until 15 June 2017. The submitted films must correspond to the topic of disability (other than for authors who are persons with disabilities, for whom the topic is open) and have a duration of up to 30 minutes.
The film festival “Grab This Day with Me/Grab a Film” encompasses projections of local and foreign films regarding the capacities and achievements of persons with disabilities, as well as diverse quality additional programming regarding the topic of disability (workshops, discussions, exhibitions).
The festival is being shown in Novi Sad, organized by KAO Parnasa, in Rijeka, implemented by Udruga Spirit, and this year also in Banjaluka, led by the Humanitarian Organization Partner. “Grab a Film” is the only regional festival of films on persons with disabilities in this region, having a common goal: informing the public on the life, activities, rights and achievements of persons with disabilities, leading to changes in people’s opinions regarding persons with disabilities, better understanding and acceptance of diversity, as well as creating conditions for increased visibility and inclusion of persons with disabilities in all walks of social life.
