EXIT and NIS Organizing Fourth “Youth Heroes” Call – Looking for the Young Heroes of Serbia! (Deadline: 20/8/2019)

Youth HeroesEXIT foundation, in cooperation with the NIS Company and with the support of Radio-Television of Serbia and the Ringier Axel Springer Company is once again issuing the “Youth Heroes” call for selecting positive social role models. The key struggle in Serbia has for years been how to retain and attract young talent. The wish of the call organizers is to show that hard work, dedication, curiosity, humanity, courage and creativity pay off. For the fourth year in a row EXIT and NIS are selecting a new generation of young heroes and heroines of Serbia from a total of four areas: education and science, entrepreneurship and creative industries, social activism, and culture and arts.

The call will be open until 20 August, and the bearers of the “Youth Heroes” title will be announced in September this year.

A special “Youth Heroes” award will be issued this year in cooperation with the Youth Alliance of Associations Youth Capital of Europe Novi Sad 2019.

As many as 52 “Youth Heroes” awards have been presented during the “Youth Heroes” campaign to young people in Serbia making our society better through their exceptional nature. This includes 49 award winners in the field of education and science, entrepreneurship and creative industries, social activism, and culture and arts, while two young heroes and one institution have won the special “Youth Heroes” award.

The winners of this year’s call will receive the well-earned prize and media promotion, and their achievements will be presented to the public. The winners of the “Youth Heroes” call will be the first to receive tickets for the jubilee 20th EXIT festival next year, and for the Sea Star and Sea Dance festivals in 2020. Along with sets of festival tickets, they will receive gift packages by the “Vulkan” publishing company, and the winners of first place in each category will also receive monetary awards of RSD 100,000.

The right to apply is open to all youth holding citizenships of Serbia or a residence within the territory of the Republic of Serbia aged 15 to 30 years with special achievements, awards, prizes in the field of education/science, entrepreneurship and creative industries, social activism, culture/arts.

The application form is available at www.youth-heroes.org or here, and applications with the call form are to be submitted to exitfoundation@exitfest.org by 20 August 2019. Young heroes may be nominated by organizations, institutions, media, interested individuals, or they can apply independently.
