National Youth Employment Dialogue – new approaches, new challenges

Nacionalni dijalog za zapošljavanje mladihThe National Youth Employment Dialogue will be held on November 1 in Madlenianum, Zemun, starting at 11 am, in order to discuss new approaches and new challenges in the way of improving employment and employability of young people in Serbia.

The National Youth Employment Dialogue was launched under the German Development Cooperation Project Youth Employment Promotion implemented by the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) in cooperation with Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia). The dialogue is suported by the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit of the Government of Serbia as part of a broader programme financially supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation under the title “From Education to Employability (E2E), including partners from the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.

During this event, it is planned to continue successful local youth employment dialogue and the opportunity to talk about the improvement of existing models and measures for improving youth employment. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know more about the experiences in applying the models of employment promotion and employability of young people such as: support of entrepreneurship and (self)employment through hubs, cooperatives, social enterprises, training for a well-known employer and the labor market, partnership of private, public and civil sector in the innovative models, as well as local and regional action employment planning.

Presentation of innovative models should give practical answers to the challenges of employment and empowerment of young people, and the dialogue will serve as a platform for exchange of experiences, promotion of good practice and the spreading of innovative and successful approaches in youth employment.

Topics will be presented from the perspective of professionals and practitioners, as well as from the experience of young people who were beneficiaries of these measures and models.
