The primary goal of the Danube Transnational Programme is strengthening European regions, sustainable and balanced development and integration between EU member states, EU candidate states and neighbouring countries. Its total value is EUR 222 million, with 202 earmarked from European Fund for Regional Development funds, while EUR 19.8 million is dedicated through IPA funds.
Project proposals within the First Call of the Danube Transnational Programme will be submitted in two steps. The deadline for applications within the first step is 3 November 2015. Instructions for applicants can be found at: www.dtpevent.eu/relevant-documents
Programme priorities:
- Innovative and socially responsible business within the Danube region (stimulating ecological innovation, knowledge transfer, cluster policy, social innovation and successful entrepreneurship, including aspects of technological and non-technological innovation),
- Environmentally and culturally responsible activities within the Danube region (preserving and maintaining the diversity of natural and cultural goods, maintaining the key environmental corridors along river systems, prevention and remediation of the consequences of disasters, crisis management),
- Better interconnectedness of the Danube region (improvement of regional connections to the TEN-T network, environmentally acceptable transport systems, regional energy planning and coordination),
- Good governance of the Danube region (strengthening transnational management in areas with large social challenges, more effective management of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and the development of complex transnational projects).
