The catalogue of the electronic services of the City of Belgrade, created as a result of the months-long cooperation of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, the City of Belgrade and Directorate for Electronic Administration, was presented on 21 September at the registry of the City of Belgrade. Designed to enable citizens and companies to complete their work with the City online – without physically visiting counters, without waiting in queues and with numerous financial savings, the catalogue is available on the National eGovernment Portal.
The catalogue currently holds 156 services, with 100 intended for natural, and 56 for legal persons. The transition from classical to electronic business is estimated to reduce City expenditures by several tens of millions of dinars. The key savings will certainly be regarding paper, because only the printing of extracts from the Registry of Births costs around 35 million dinars annually from the city budget.
The National eGovernment Portal was founded in June 2010, as the simplest way to reduce queues, avoid corruption, increase transparency and efficiency in work. It currently holds over 300,000 active users and around 550 various services available to citizens and companies.
