This years “Lorenzo Natali” prize is organized under the slogan “Today’s Stories Can Change our Tomorrow” and coincides with the European Year of Development. In December the European Commission will, just like during previous years, award journalists for extraordinary contributions to reporting on development and the eradication of poverty.
The jury will award one professional and one amateur journalist form each of the following regions: Africa, Arab countries and Middle East, Asia and Pacific, South America and Caribbean, as well as Europe.
The winners will receive a trophy and a financial prize of 5,000 euros. Additionally, the winners will compete for an additional 5,000 euros, i.e. the Grand Prize, at the award ceremony in December.
The deadline for applications expires on 31 August 2015.
