The European Investment Bank (EIB) will participate in financing several projects in the Western Balkans region in the near future, said Bank president Werner Hoyer at a Vienna summit on the Western Balkans. These include “railway 10” on Kosovo and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), said Hoyer, as stated in the EIB notice.
“The European Investment Bank is the largest international financer in the Western Balkans. In accordance with our mandate and the goal of the countries in the region of joining the EU, during the past 10 years we have signed loans of nearly seven billion euros for projects in this part of the world”, said Hoyer.
