The European Union issued a call for civil society organizations as part of the IPA CSF and Media Programme 2014-2015 – Support to the Regional Network Aiming to Provide a Stimulating Legal and Financial Environment for Civil Society and Media. The goal of this call is providing support to civil society and media to be effective and responsible independent actors, as well as to improve their capacities for dialogue with decision makers and their impact on the decision making process.
The deadline for project proposals is 6 July 2015.
A specific goal of this call is “strengthening the networking of civil society organizations at the regional and EU level, exchange of knowledge, skills and contacts and increasing the impact of these networks in campaigns and public advocacy”. The call aims to strengthen civil society capacities in regards to public advocacy, long-term strategic organizational planning and diversification of financing sources. This will provide for sustainability, increase the recognition of the role of civil society organizations by state institutions and strengthen the level of inclusion of civil society organizations in the decision making processes and reforms.
