The Civil Society Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) between EU and Serbia, consisting of 18 members and representative business, worker and various interest groups on both sides, will meet for the first time on Tuesday, 21 July 2015 in Belgrade.
Ms. Jadranka Joksimović, the minister for European integration and Ambassador Michael Davenport, head of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Serbia, will open the conference, mostly intended to consider issues such as:
- The current status of relations between EU and Serbia and the accession process,
- The role of civil society in the enlargement process and regarding making the process more transparent and inclusive.
JCC is one of the bodies founded as part of the Stabilization and Accession Agreement between the European Union and Serbia. It enables for civil society to monitor the progress of Serbia on the road towards the European Union and provide recommendations for the attention of the Government of Serbia and EU institutions.
