The Ministry of Economy of the Government of the Republic of Serbia announced on 21 January that the COSME Programme had opened the first public call for project proposals by small and medium enterprises to be financed by funds from this programme. The notice states that the COSME programme is a European Union project for the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises in member states and candidate countries, with a budget of EUR 2.3 billion for the period 2014-2020.

The public call is intended for projects related to products based on innovative design and high technology.

The deadline for project proposal submissions is 14 April, while those eligible are small and medium enterprises basing their products on innovative designer solutions (independently and in consortia), as well as universities, research institutes, etc.
