The minister without a portfolio in the Government of the Republic of Serbia in charge of European integration, Jadranka Joksimović, signed two financial agreements between the Government of Serbia and the European Commission, previously signed by the director of the Directorate for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission Jean-Eric Paquet.
The signed agreements, to the amount of 102.3 million euros, are in regards to part of the total amount envisaged as financial support to Serbia within the IPA programme for 2014, while an additional 86.8 million euros are expected by the end of the year.
One of the signed agreements supports the implementation of the Special Measure of Support to the Melioration of the Consequences of the Floods and Flood Risk Management with 72 million euros.
Another agreement makes 30.3 million euros available to Serbia. The grants approved by the agreement will be used for projects to help Serbia implement reforms in the public administration sector and the area of education, required for future EU membership.
The agreement also envisages support to the European integration process for Serbia, and the subject of this financial agreement is, inter alia, support for the technical preparation of priority investment projects, the notice from the Office of the minister without portfolio states.
