Startit Centre is organizing free game development courses for children until the end of the year. The next course will be held during the period 5 to 11 December at the Startit Centre Belgrade. A course is also scheduled for mid-December at the newly opened Startit Centre in Vršac – details and the application can be found here.
Children aged III to VIII grade of primary school may apply for the course.
The course is designed as a gradual introduction of children to Scratch, regardless of previous computer knowledge. Elements of this programming language are mastered during five days, enabling children to interpret Scratch and use it to create their programs, animations, games. The goal of the programme is for every child to be able to develop a simple game consisting of animations and basics of computer science, with the help of teachers, as well as other children.
