The Government of Serbia adopted a revised National Programme for Adoption of EU Acquis (NPAA), representing a detailed, multi-annual plan of harmonisation of national legislation with the EU Acquis Communautaire, and at the same time a plan of building institutions to implement the legal order aligned in this way. This programme will be implemented until 2018, which is the deadline for achieving full national readiness of our country to accede the European Union.
NPAA was developed by the representatives of all the state institutions and organisations, regulatory and independent bodies as well a representatives of the Parliament. NPAA was created in such a way as to link the European legislation and the national legal order to allow for monitoring of the pace, scope and quality of alignment in each moment. In observance of the mandate of state authorities, the EU Acquis has been divided into 35 chapters thus ensuring regular planning and monitoring of their legal activities.
