Through an Android application, Serbian citizens, youth in particular, can now learn more about the European Union and accession negotiations, as well as education and work in the EU, it was announced on 29 October, when the application was presented at the Belgrade Book Fair. The application aims to present European integration and the EU itself in a simple way and bring them closer to citizens, and is based on a survey about what aspects of the EU youth are the most interested in.
Assistant Director of the European Integration Office Ivana Đurić stated that the “Europe in Your Pocket” mobile application was free of charge and had been developed by Belgrade Open School with support of the European Integration Office.
Danijela Božović, Belgrade Open School (BOS) representative, highlighted that, in addition to bringing the EU and the integration process closer to youth, the application also offered information on education, volunteering and work in the EU, as well as EU programmes and travelling.
