The European Integration Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which also coordinates the preparation of the acquis communautaire of the EU in Serbian, published the new fifth revised edition of Handbook for Translation of Legal Acts of the European Union

The acquis communautaire of the EU present the corpus of 120.000 pages of the EU legal acts published in the Official Journal of the European Union. This digit indicates why the preparation of the acquis communautaire of the EU in the official language of the country that wants to access the EU has proved to be the greatest translation endeavour in most countries which were in this process.

The preparation of acquis communautaire of the European Union in the official language of the candidate country is a necessary condition for membership and great challenge which all countries preparing for full membership in the EU face.
