Published 16.08.2017.

reload_logoThe Regional Programme on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD), financed by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is PUBLISHING AN OPEN CALL FOR CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS, ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS AND INDIVIDUALS for membership in the Advisory Board within the ReLOaD project in the Republic of Serbia.

The specific objective of the project is to strengthen partnerships between local governments and civil society in the Western Balkans by scaling-up a successful model of transparent and project-based funding of civil society organisations (CSOs) from local government budgets towards greater civic engagement in decision-making and improvement of CSO initiatives implemented in the local community.

The Project structure envisaged the establishment of an Advisory Board with the aim of providing support to the Partnership Committee and ensuring that the project has a significant impact on the civil society and the local self-government. The Advisory Board is also established to ensure the flow of information regarding the implementation of the project and its effect on the civil society and local governments. The information regarding responsibilities, functions and the composition of the Advisory Board can be found in the Advisory Board Rulebook published on the following web page www.rs.undp.org. The Advisory Board will have a maximum of 15 members.

The Project document envisages the members of the Advisory Board to be representatives of both formal and informal networks of civil society organisations, local civil society organisations, the academic community, as well as individuals who can use their previous experience and contribute to the successful work of the Board. Grassroots organisations are also invited to apply for the membership, that way the opinions and ideas of different CSOs would be considered. The selection of members will take into account the geographical representation of CSOs, as well as the equal representation of representatives of different thematic sectors.

The Advisory Board members will work on a volunteer basis.

The Call is opened until 16 September 2017.
