The meeting of the joint supervisory board of the Intereg-IPA cross-border cooperation programme Bulgaria-Serbia was held on 15 July 2016, at the “Hristo Botev 1934” culture house in Božurište, Bulgaria. The main goal of the meeting was the approval of the list of projects proposed for financing as part of the first call for project proposals.
Due to the record interest in the programme and the high level of technical quality of numerous project proposals, the joint supervisory board approved a reallocation of additional funds from the financial allocation for 2018, leading to an increase in the overall sum of funds for the first call to EUR 18 570 429.
The increased budget will be sufficient to finance 36 joint cross-border projects, within the three main priority axes: Sustainable Tourism, Youth and Environment.
