The “Ana i Vlade Divac” foundation published the “Protection of Single Parents in the Republic of Serbia – Analysis of the Legal Framework and Recommendations” publication. The publication aims to inform decision makers and key actors in the social protection system regarding problems encountered daily by single parents, as well as regarding finding adequate solutions to improve the existing legal framework regulating their status. According to statistical data, there are nearly 75,000 single parents in Serbia today.
The publication is part of the project “Strengthening Human Rights and Empowerment of Single Mothers in Serbia” implemented by the “Ana i Vlade Divac” foundation in partnership with the “Jelek” association, financed by the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Serbia.
