On July 4, within the Western Balkans Summit in Paris, the Western Balkans leaders signed the Agreement on the establishment of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office, which could be the central pillar of stability and peace in the region.
The Agreement was signed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, the Prime Minister of Macedonia Emil Dimitriev, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić, the Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa and the Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Đukanović.
The signing ceremony was also attended by the French President François Hollande, the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Prime Minister of Croatia Tihomir Orešković, the Prime Minister of Slovenia Miro Cerar, the Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern, and the High EU Representative Federica Mogherini.
In his statement to the press, Mr Vučić explained that the Office headquarters would be in Tirana, the capital of Albania, which supported this initiative from the very beginning, while the most of the resources would be provided by the Republic of Serbia.
