In the first quarter of 2014, the Serbian state institutions have intensified the activities related to use and application for TAIEX expert assistance of the European Commission in harmonization of regulations with the EU acquis and their implementation. In the period January – 31 March, 34 applications were sent as compared to 88 for the entire last year, which is two times more than in 2013. Most of the applications related to organizing EU expert missions, study trips, seminars, workshops and training for civil servants.
TAIEX is an EC instrument officially entitled – Bureau for Technical Assistance and Information Exchange.
It is funded from EU multilateral programmes and support to the countries after the principle of sequence of submitted requests.
