The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia, in cooperation with line Ministries, agencies, other institutions, and business associations which represent the economy sector, prepared the draft Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness Development Strategy for the period of 2014 to 2020, together with a draft action plan for the implementation of the strategy for the period of 2014 to 2015. The Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness Development Strategy for the period of 2014 to 2020 represents builds upon and continues the previous development policy in the areas of entrepreneurship and competitiveness in the Republic of Serbia. It continuous the policy of full compliance with and implementation of all documents which define the EU policy in the area of entrepreneurship and competitiveness, especially the Act on Small Enterprises.
It includes a set of measures which support development of entrepreneurship and competitiveness in the following areas: improvement of business environment, facilitated access to sources of funding, improvement of workforce quality, support to innovations, facilitated access to new markets and the strengthening entrepreneurship of women and the young population.
Draft is in the process of final harmonization and its adoption is expected in the near future. Call for submitting expert proposals, amendments and changes to the draft will be opened until 23 June 2014.
