The International Conference “Joint Vision: Education for Practical Knowledge“

obrazovanje_za_prakticno_znanje_i_vestine_logoThe Conference on the secondary vocational education the reform of which has been ongoing for already ten years will be held in Belgrade on September 20 and 21, 2016. The organizers of the conference are the partners on the project “The Reform of the Secondary Vocational Education in Serbia” – the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and the German organization for the international cooperation GIZ –and the Institute for Advancement of Education.

The Conference “Joint Vision: Education for Practical Knowledge” will be an opportunity to summarize all results of the reform to date as well as to identify the areas in the vocational education in Serbia that could be the subject of further reform activities and/or the subject of the further improvement in future. The Conference will also enable the insight in experiences in reforming the secondary vocational education in the countries in the region whose experts and creators of educational policies will also participate in this event.

In addition to reviewing the results to date and further steps in the reform of the secondary vocational education, the participants of the Conference “Joint Vision: Education for Practical Knowledge” will also deal with the following subjects:

  • adult education
  • the professional development of teachers and professional literature
  • entrepreneurship
  • the legal framework of the secondary vocational education
  • including the private sector in the realization of vocational education
  • career counseling
  • social inclusion.
