The first Office of the Commissioner for Protection of Equality outside of Belgrade was opened in March 2014 in Novi Pazar. The financial support was provided by the European Union and the Government of the Swiss Confederation under the Programme of European Partnerships with Municipalities – EU PROGRESS.

This office in Novi Pazar will facilitate the access of citizens of this part of the country to the institution which primarily aims to prevent all forms and cases of discrimination.
