The economic empowerment of each individual, particularly vulnerable groups of the population, is an important factor for social inclusion and active participation in society. Employment and inclusion in the labour market is a key precondition for social and economic independence and for taking responsibility for one’s own life. Economic reforms should ensure that all regions, including rural areas, have equal opportunities for growth and development.
The Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit is an active participant in the promotion of entrepreneurial culture, development of various models for the inclusion of vulnerable groups in economic activities, the promotion and development of the concept of social entrepreneurship and active inclusion in the labour market. Furthermore, the Unit is conducting data-basedanalyses of public policies in this area and promotes the systematic monitoring and improvement of public policies in this field.
