The EU set aside 11.5 million euros for the cross-border cooperation programme Serbia – Bosnia and Herzegovina during the 2007-2013 period, with the last, third call having 3.6 million euros for that cycle. Unlike previous years, these pre-accession assistance funds will be intended to remedy damages and prevent flooding, and the new call will not be open to non-government organizations, it was announced on 29 April at the presentation of the third call for submitting projects for the programme in Belgrade. As part of the cross-border cooperation programme Serbia – Bosnia and Herzegovina 36 projects have been financed thus far with 72 beneficiaries in each country, with the largest number of projects in the field of environmental protection and tourism.
The call issued on 29 April is the last one within the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme for Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2007-2013 budget cycle. The minimum donation is 300,000 euros, while the maximum is 600,000 euros. The deadline for the submission of project proposals is 20 July 2015.
